Summary of Job Responsibilities:

The clinical associate/advocate will work with the Dot Lake Village Tribal Court and Youth Project Coordinator to help develop programs for at-risk youth.  Position may be required to provide services to youth and work with Coordinator to develop activities. The Behavioral Associate/Advocate is under the general supervision of the TeeJuh Director and Tribal Council.  The position works with other staff members of TeeJuh to provide appropriate services that conform to tribally established guidelines. In this role, you may be working with victims of child abuse, neglect, domestic violence, persons suffering with physical or mental illness, or community youth dealing with substance use disorder.

Essential Job Responsibilities/Functions Include but Are Not Limited to:

  • Work with Tribal Court/TeeJuh Staff to develop services
  • Work with other organizations and agencies to provide services to victims
  • Investigate and establish protocols for telehealth services
  • Keep track of cases, assistance, and data in a highly confidential manner

Communication:

  • Shares and receives information, opinions, concerns, and feedback with council.
  • Works collaboratively by building bridges and creating rapport with team members, tribal organizations, and entities on the state and federal level.
  • Works effectively with others as a member of a team.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Experience and demonstrated knowledge of victim’s services and programs
  • Knowledge and understanding of the community including cultural values and beliefs, history, and family systems.
  • Energetic, forward thinking, and creative with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, write reports, and make informed recommendations on clients’ well-being
