Summary of Job Responsibilities

The Grant Project Manager – STCJ position with the Native Village of Dot Lake leads and coordinates grant-funded projects and related services that support Village operations, victim services, and compliance with federal requirements, including DOJ and VAWA standards. This role works closely with Village leadership, staff, and external contractors to ensure grant goals, timelines, reporting, and compliance obligations are met. Responsibilities include organizing project schedules, coordinating meetings and special events, tracking deliverables, communicating updates for grant reporting, and supporting collaboration with tribal, state, and federal partners. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, knowledgeable in tribal government and grant processes, and respectful of the cultural, social, and political structure of Dot Lake Village.

Essential Job Responsibilities/Functions

  • Work with Village staff to achieve the goals of the grant project.
  • Organize and implement a schedule to ensure deadlines and objectives are met.
  • Organize special events as assigned.
  • Take notes and distribute updates to leadership.
  • Work with contractors to ensure deadlines and compliance with DOJ/VAWA Standards.
  • Set meetings with contractors to receive regular updates on projects.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Communication

  • Shares and receives information, opinions, concerns, and feedback with supervisor.
  • Communicates updates to be reported for grant reporting.
  • Works collaboratively by building bridges and creating rapport with team members, tribalorganizations, and entities on the state and federal level.
  • Works effectively with others as a member of a team.
  • Communicate effectively with contractors/partners on project.

Skills/Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of tribal government administration
  • Familiar with grant reporting
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Computer proficiency
  • Familiarity with the traditional political, economic, social and cultural structure of Dot Lake isessential.
  • Time management
