Youth Project Coordinator-Tribal Court

Summary of Job Responsibilities:
This position takes the lead on DLV Tribal Court Youth Programs and services to address the needs of children, youth, and young adults who are at risk. Coordinator will work with the Tribal Court, TeeJuh Behavioral Health and Dot Lake Police Department to develop programs. This position will be responsible for scheduling meetings and serve as the lead on the project. Position will host quarterly advisory committee meetings and compile data for reporting purposes.
Essential Job Responsibilities/Functions Include but Are Not Limited To:
- Develop meaningful partnerships with the Alaska Native Women’s Resource Center
- Organize and implement a series of activities
- Organize special events as outlined in the grant.
- Coordinate the weekly Youth Program, organizing projects, recruiting and coordinating with elders
- Purchasing of supplies.
Communication:
- Shares and receives information, opinions, concerns, and feedback with council.
- Works collaboratively by building bridges and creating rapport with team members, tribal organizations, and entities on the state and federal level.
- Works effectively with others as a member of a team.
Skills/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
- Knowledge of Tribal government administration/Tribal Courts
- Familiar with budgets and reporting
- Excellent organizational skills
- Computer proficiency
- Familiarity with the traditional political, economic, social and cultural structure of Dot Lake is essential.
