Monthly Dot Lake Village Council Meetings

The Dot Lake Village Council will begin holding regular meetings of the Tribal Council on the second Saturday of each month at noon. These meetings will be held virtually over Zoom.

This notice will include the link to join the monthly Tribal Council meeting. This link will remain the same to log in to each monthly meeting.
This notice will be posted on the Tribe’s website, social media, and emailed to Tribal voters. If you have any questions please reach out to the Tribe’s email listed at the bottom of this notice.

Dot Lake Community Events January 2025

Dot Lake Community Events Jan. 11 TBA Jan. 18 Community Hall 12-3 Cory: Creatively setting goals to crush in 2025 Movie: Inside Out 2 Snacks will be provided. Jan. 25: Community Hall 12-3 Shirley will engage community members in creative mindfulness activities. Mindfulness can improve self-regulation, confidence, problem-solving, focus, and empathy. All participants will receive a sensory stress-relief goody bag. Healthy lunch will be provided.

Dot Lake Community Events: Christmas Time!

Dec. 21 Christmas Time! Noon-3 p.m., Community Hall. Let's get together and enjoy the Christmas season. Cookie Exchange: Bring 24 to 36 cookies to share. Ornament Making: We will make ornaments to hang on our trees. Refreshments will be provided.

Request For Proposals for Code/Ordinance Development

Dot Lake Village is issuing a request for proposals from interested individuals, legal service providers, agencies, or law firms to develop new Tribal ordinances, revise current ordinances, develop self-help packets, and develop local rules for the Dot Lake Tribal Court.

Submission deadline is Noon Aug. 15, 2024.

Keeping an Eye on Air Quality

Alaska is only a little more than halfway through its wildfire season, designated by state law as April 1 – Aug. 31. As we continue through the season, we want to share some air quality resources.

  • Air Quality Advisories and Episodes: This map and list of air quality alerts is maintained by the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation’s Division of Air Quality.
  • Wildfires: Information on steps you can take before, during, and after a fire is provided by AirNow, the U.S. Air Quality Index website.
  • AirNow also provides a fire and smoke map in both a desktop version and a mobile app.

Clean Air, Healthy Villages

The EPA has put together a set of videos, fact sheets, and outreach ideas to help raise awareness about air pollution in Alaska communities.

The video and fact sheets below address the main air quality issues for native villages in Alaska:
